Most often it is the internal; the mind, the inner silence, the meditative aspect of our selves that gets neglected first, and most often.
It’s a dance of personal wellbeing to nurture the external life that we lead.
I encourage you to find time daily to meditate or any of the fun, relaxing items listed below.
And, as the saying goes, if you can’t meditate for 5 minutes every day then meditate for 20.
Make time, find time, teach your children to care for them selves in this way. Your internal self will appreciate the love and attention and your external self will appreciate the loving support.
~Go for a walk
~Take a hike
~Take a bath
~Use an app (I even use Insight Timer)
~Stop and smell the roses. Yes, seriously, stop and enjoy the beauty of a rose
~Go to a meditation class
~Visit a park and sit – in the grass, on a bench, it matters not, just get out and find yourself
~Write – in a journal, a book, song lyrics
~Got brain chatter? Every time your brain ‘thinks’ of something shift that internal dialog to saying this, “I am peaceful.” Every time!
~Artwork- Look at some, make some – find your inner talent.
~Listen to music
~Read a book
~Read to your family
Develop the internal aspect of your being and the external self will continue to blossom.
“I enjoy my times of silence.”
“My life is balanced with internal and external joys.”
“My life is both yin and yang.”
