~The best temperature for your bath water is between 95 and 104 degrees. Too hot, and it will be more drying for your skin.
~The ideal length of a bath is 20 to 30 minutes long.
~If you are adding oils to your bath, put them on your body first. This keeps the oils on you, not clinging to the side of the tub.
~Is your skin itchy? Did you happen to bump into some poison ivy?
Try this bath recipe for itchy skin. You will want to keep the water temp down a bit more for red, irritated skin. It will keep your pores closed a bit more, which is beneficial.
~If you are lighting candles, be safe. Ensure that you have a quick and easy way to put them out if needed. Safety always comes first :)
~Read a book. Avoid electronics; for numerous reasons. It's the perfect time to unplug from electronics, it will ruin them if you happen to drop them, and if they are plugged in you might get electrocuted :(
~After your bath. Gently pat your skin dry. This too, is not as harsh on your skin and will not be as drying.
My favorite thing to add is my bath is the Stress Reduction Oil. I had this oil designed for such things! Check it out for yourself.
