It's easy to do!
Here's what you will need t make your personal natural hair gel.
~1 cup of distilled or filtered water
~1/8 teaspoon of oil (camellia, vitamin E, meadowfoam) My personal favorite is camellia oil.
~1/4 flax seeds (whole)
~5-7 drops of essential oil - your favorite! (Lavender, Ylang, Ylang, Lemon, Tea Tree are good choices)
Here's how to make it.
Get your water to boil then slowly add your flax seeds.
Turn the heat down to a medium/medium high level. You want a boil to continue just not a huge rolling boise.
Stir with a spoon until mixture starts to foam. This is the beginning of your hair gel.
Allow this wonderful mixture to boil and foam for one minute while continuing to stir. Don't let it stick to the bottom of your pan :)
Remove from heat and strain through a metal/plastic strainer into a large bowl.
You will notice that it is pretty thick; that's what you want.
Let this cool then add your oils and mix well.
Store in an airtight container. I suggest a shallow jar of some sort - a glass 4 oz canning jar would be great.
There are no preservatives in here to you'll want to keep it in the fridge to help keep it from spoiling. Also, don't let it sit for more that a month. You made it, now use that hair gel.
I always love your feedback so let me know how it works out for you! Feel free to share this info too!
