By doing so you will be surrounding yourself with people that truly care about you and your well-being.
Relax in the caring hands of those that desire to see you succeed in life.
How to do this?
First of all, trust in yourself. Trust that gut instinct you have about people you can trust in your life. Those are the ones you want to allow to help you when needed.
Have a strong support team around you, if you don't have that support team find one. There are many places to go to find helpful people. Maybe you have a group from church, ask them for help. Maybe it is a group from work? Maybe the person you ask for help from is at the gym or your tai chi class.
I think it is important to have various groups of people to help you. I know that I ask for help from different people depending on what the question is. Although, I do have two people in my life I can ask ANYTHING and they will help me out, whether it is work related, relationship related, the best way to hard boil an egg, or if the new pants I bought make my butt look big.
When you have that team around you thank them
When someone truly cares for another person there is not judgement, so competition, no expecting of anything in return.
The benefits are endless when you trust in yourself and those around you.
Here is a list of benefits from having a strong support group around you.
~Have a friend help with clothes shopping - it's like having your own personal stylist. I have one that sends me pics of different outfits from the dressing room.
~Is it time for a new hair style - friends can be amazing at finding the right stylist and even the right hair colour. I received a pic the other day from a friend asking if the new colour she got looked good on her. I thought so, she still does not. With this kind of stuff - be nice, be kind, be honest. If you want the honesty in your life then give that out also.
~Work related. Is it time for a new job? Do you have a boss that is supportive of you? Ask for a reference.
Is it time for a new job because your boss is not a good fit for you? Ask around (carefully, with discretion) if there are other jobs available.
Do you need more training to obtain a new job? Ask around, you might just find some great classes to take, and then here come that training to benefit you.
~Bored with your exercise program? Do a search in your local area for hiking clubs, biking clubs, weightlifting buddies, there are now even groups for travelling. A friend of mind just mentioned one run by a mom and daughter for women travelling alone. How cool is that?
~Kids, kids, kids what to do with the kids? Need a night off? Need a new nanny? Need a new source on diaper service? What about Joey getting an F on his homework, for like a month? These are all things that can be talked about, mulled over, new suggestions given when you have a someone you can talk with.
