Go for a walk - walking is the best way to integrate your body and your mind. Right brain and left brain will cross synapses as you walk, encouraging both sides to work to their highest potential, thus encouraging a relaxed body and brain! Walk for 20 minutes of enjoyment (and this is key-enjoyment) on a daily basis and your mind will calm with each step you take.
Meditation - 5-20 minutes daily, heightens your inner awareness, this inner awareness adds strength and vitality to your whole being.
When the weather is warmer, try meditating outside under your favorite tree. Here is a bit more in meditation. For me personally, this is the best way to relax :)
Garden - besides communing with nature think of all of the bountiful yumminess you'll get. How relaxing and fulfilling to have fruit and veggies that you have grown! This year my garden is filled with peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, and lettuce.
Or the beauty of flowers? Fresh cut, homegrown flowers are such a joy to have.
Spend time with family and friends - inner personal connections allow for a chance to share our feelings, desires, concerns, and thoughts. It is a great way to learn about the world around us through other peoples' eyes. Sharing all of this gives us a heart felt connection and this connection promotes feelings of safety and support; encouraging us to grow and relax in our lives. That is relaxing!
