Your skin looks flaky and there is no moisture left on your skin. Nooooo!
So, here are some super quick, easy things you can do to help.
1) Move, oh no wait, not that!
I meant to say, boil water on your stovetop.
If you have a fireplace/insert then you can put a pot of water on top of that.
This is what I do ... I take my large stainless steel cooking pot and fill it with water, lemon peels and orange peels. I will then boil it for a couple of hours every day (be super mindful of how much water is left in the pot - no boiling your pot dry!!) This puts moisture through out your house, bonus!!
2) Every time you take a shower put some sort of moisturizer on your skin first.
I prefer an oil as it gives a bit more of a barrier on your skin. You will notice that your skin is already moisturized when you finish your shower, so pat yourself dry with your towel. Remember rubbing your skin with a towel is more drying for you - be gentle with yourself.
Watch out for a super hot shower too - too hot is more drying for your skin.
No need to shower every day either. When it is extremely dry every other day is sufficient. Far better on your skin.
3) Light exfoliation. This gets rid of dead, flaky skin; allowing moisture to be absorbed. Here's a post on skin brushing/exfoliation.
Here are some different ideas for after shower moisturizers too.
