Words have different meanings for all of us and those different meanings have different emotions attached to them. These small, subtle differences can have a major impact on our whole health. The words you use affect your thoughts. Your thoughts affect your life, this is a part of your whole health, what your mind thinks your body, actions and life will follow.
So with all of that said, your words and thoughts make a difference in your life. Why would you want to have anything negative floating around in your life, or mind or your actions.
Check out the words below and truly identify your inner dialogs.
There are many examples of words that this can work with but we are going to use fear this time.
FEAR - Find the words that resonates the most with you
alarm, apprehension, abhorrence, agitation, angst, anxiety, aversion, bête noire, chickenheartedness, cold feet, cold sweat, concern, consternation, cowardice, creeps, despair, discomposure, dismay, disquietude, distress, doubt, dread, faintheartedness, foreboding, fright, funk, horror, jitters, misgiving, nightmare, panic, phobia, presentiment, qualm, recreancy, reverence, revulsion, scare, suspicion, terror, timidity, trembling, tremor, trepidation, unease, uneasiness, worry
Did you find a word in the list above that resonates with you? Want to see that vanish from your life?
This is what you do ...
Here is an example to help you out. Let's say that from the first group of words you continually feel "doubt." "Doubt" about yourself can have some major consequences in your life. Why "doubt" everything you do in life? It is no way to happily and easily trust in yourself. Continual self doubt will always lead you to a path of worry and unease.
So you have identified that you "doubt" yourself. Now go to the next group of words (see below). What word makes you feel the best about yourself? Let's go with "familiarity." Now, every time you feel "doubt" in your thoughts put in the word "familiarity." I feel "familiarity" with that decision. If it seems odd, that's ok give it time. Be patient with yourself too.
COMFORT- find other words and phrases that resonate with you. Replace the words from above with the words from this section. Strive to have these in your everyday living and thoughts.
calmness, coolness, expectation, familiarity, intimacy, steadiness, good feeling; ease, abundance, alleviation, amenity, assuagement, bed of roses, cheer, cheerfulness, contentment, convenience, coziness, creature comforts, enjoyment, exhilaration, facility, gratification, happiness, luxury, opulence, peacefulness, pleasure, plenty, poise, quiet, relaxation, relief, repose, rest, restfulness, satisfaction, sufficiency, warmth, well-being, assurance, calmness, composure, contentment, ease, happiness, nonchalance, peace, tranquility
